| Overview of Church: | The greatest of the Arthur Wagner churches; (St. Paul's West Street was built by his father). The immense height - 135 feet - exceeds Westminster Abbey. Built between 1872-74 by a local architect Edmund Scott. It is in fact unfinished - there was to be a Chancel at the East end. The interior decoration and fittings were added between 1895 and 1910 by Henry Wilson. "An unforgettable experience". |
